Friends of Bingham label to look for alternative artists
A new independent label has been launched with their first single.
String Field Theories, a new record label specializing in electronic and alternative music, was founded by longtime friends Miles Waite of Bingham and Glen Bradford of Sutton-in-Ashfield.
It was released with the double-sided single A Come Back To Reality (I’m still Dreaming). Miles Waite’s B One followed on Friday.
The friends decided to co-found the label after reconnecting at a school reunion and wanted to turn their shared passion for music into a business.
Glenn (pictured left) said: âWe want to combine our individual talents to help local artists, bands and producers get their music heard.
âWe’ve both spent time trying to promote ourselves as musicians and know how difficult it can be; with String Field Theories we believe we can offer something different.
Miles (right) added: âWhether it’s mixing, mastering, photographing, or just putting together a bio, we want musicians to ask us for help. It could be a one-time service, or maybe they end up signing with us and have a long career. “
