Los Angeles Singer-Songwriter zzzahara Releases New Single “Get Out Of LA” – MP3 & NPC

Los Angeles singer-songwriter zzzahara looks to leave his hometown behind with ‘Get Out Of LA’

Released today, the single is accompanied by a music video directed by Cole Santiago. zzzahara had this to say about the new song:

“’Get Out’ is my portrayal of my frustrations with growing up and living in Los Angeles. Different walks of life come and go from the city throughout the year. People discover themselves and go into survival mode to get where they want to be. Some of these people get lost and forget who they are, often burning bridges and making their way to the top. I think all this noise bored me and I wanted to be around genuine, laid-back people. I got tired of hanging out with people constantly comparing themselves to everyone here when the secret sauce is to be yourself. I guess reinventing yourself might be cool, but just make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons and not hurting others.

‘get out of it’ was written in the bedroom of Collin Davis (Ynes Mon). He produced the track and I wrote the lyrics/vocal melody. I think it was a pivotal moment in both of our songwriting skills because we had been writing songs together for about a year before we started on “get out there”, so the musical chemistry was there. I also phoned my friend Dillon Olmedo to play bass on the track. It absolutely killed the bassline. Then I phoned my friend Josh Trevizo who is an amazing jazz drummer. Josh killed the drums. I’ve played with both of them a lot over the past few years, so it was right to have them on this amazing track.

zzzahara will release their debut album later this year via Lex Records. “Get Out Of LA” is currently available on Digital Services. The artist will perform at Crystal Cavern in Oakland on June 24 and The Smell in Los Angeles on July 15.
