Critics online have slammed Weekend Sunrise host Matt Doran after he was allegedly taken off the air for two weeks after “offending” Adele.

The Channel Seven reporter traveled to London to chat with the pop star, 33, earlier this month, but admitted during the interview that he hadn’t actually listened to his new album, The telegraph of the day complaints.

Doran reportedly sat down with hitmaker Hello for a “20-30 minute” interview, in which he “didn’t ask a single question about the new album.”

When Adele asked him what he thought of his 30th album, Doran allegedly admitted he hadn’t listened to it.

An offended Adele then reportedly walked out of the interview, although other sources claimed the interview was already over when the successful musical artist probed Matt.

Although the interview was taped, Adele Sony’s label reportedly denied Seven the right to broadcast part of it.

The network reportedly spent $ 1 million on the unfortunate one-on-one interview, Oprah’s conversation with the star, and footage from her One Night Only concert.

Seven apparently still have the rights to the last two events, as they continue to advertise both on social media.

The “angry” Seven executives then took Doran off the air for a fortnight.

He was back on the air to co-host Weekend Sunrise alongside Monique Wright on Saturday.
