Singer / songwriter / pianist Andrew McMahon – formerly of Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin – brings his “Three Pianos Tour” to Cincinnati.
The tour takes its name from McMahon’s memoirs, Three pianos, describes himself as a âstrikingly honest and beautifully written memoir of the challenges and triumphs of his life and career, seen through the prism of his personal connection with three pianosâ.
McMahon (as Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness) and guests Zac Clark and Annika Bennett will perform at the ICON Music Center on October 22.
McMahon shared his joy at the tour with fans in a Facebook post, saying:
âI have never been so excited to announce a tour. The weirdness that we come out of has left its mark on all of us and I dreamed of the day when we could gather in halls again and get rid of its effects together. I will be traveling light this time, surrounded by a small group of friends, performing a series of songs that are for me like landmarks on the map of my life. I spent my time away from the world writing a book, trying to better understand who I am and where I come from. I can’t think of a better time than now, the anniversary of 20 years of touring, to put my work together on a stage and do what I can to share this story with you through my songs and stories. “
ICON requires all spectators to present proof of COVID vaccination from a negative COVID test from the previous 72 hours. McMahon also encouraged fans to wear masks indoors and said his team will provide them.
