Ready for the sweet sounds of summer?
Several free summer concert series are brewing in Fort Collins and Windsor – bringing acts from near and far to Old Town Square, Colorado State University and northern Colorado parks.
Take your pick from these free music offerings in and around Fort Collins.
Beats at Boardwalk Park
When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays from June 2 to August 18
Or: Boardwalk Park, 100 N. Fifth St., Windsor
Want to hear live tunes by the lake? Head to Windsor for its free summer concert series in the city’s Boardwalk Park. Each concert will feature local food trucks and Games for the City of Windsor Cornhole League. The range of the series is:
- June 2: 6 Million Dollar Band (80s theme party)
- June 9: Five-month trip
- June 16: 40 ounces at liberty
- June 23: The samples
- June 30th: Michael Morrow and the culprits
- July 7: Echo 10 years
- July 14th: Dave Beegle and the Jurrasicasters
- July 21: Rick Scheuler’s Rocky Mountain Christmas Experience

Living at the Lagoon
When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays from June 15 to July 27
Or: The West Lawn of the Lory Student Center at Colorado State University
Ready for another summer of live music at CSU Lagoon? For 25 years, the Mantooth Company has hosted the Lagoon Summer Concert Series, and this year will be no different. Starting in mid-June, CSU’s West Lawn and Lagoon will be transformed each Wednesday with a series of free live music acts and local food truck stops. Live from the Old Town…it’s Thursday Night Live
When: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays from June 2 to Sept. 15.

After spending last summer at New Belgium Brewing, Bohemian Nights’ free summer concert series, Thursday Night Live, returns to its Old Town roots. The series will resume on June 2 hold weekly live music on the stage in Old Town Square on Thursday evenings.

Food trucks and melodies
When: From 5:30 p.m. to dusk every Tuesday until September 13 (no event on July 7)

Ready for dinner and a show? The FoCo Food Truck Rally, which takes over part of Sheldon Drive from City Park most Tuesday evenings in the summer, will also offer free live music presented by Mishawaka Amphitheatre. The musical program of the rally is as follows:

Live opera… in a pub? It’s so crazy it could work. The Opera Fort Collins Guild produces Get Hooked on Opera – an afternoon of opera and musical theater featuring singers Kristi Muzzio, Ruby Celestia, Julianne Perkins and Pablo Romero. Tickets are free, but donations are welcome.
